It’s Located in Canal Park
Not only is River’s Edge located in close proximity to the Grand River, but it’s actually located within Canal Park. A great walking and relaxation place, Canal Park sports everything from walking trails to playground equipment to picnic tables and more. It even provides pedestrian access to the Grand River, allowing our kayaking, canoeing, and paddleboarding tenants to enjoy the water with ease.
So, while we’re located in the middle of a big city, we’re also located in one of the city’s most beautiful green spaces. You won’t have to face the hustle and bustle the second you step out of your door. You’ll start every morning with peace and tranquility.
It Has Its Own River Access Point
There are several different locations in Canal Park from which you can take a boat out onto the Grand River. They’re all more than suitable for getting the job done.
One of these river access points happens to be right in front of our complex, allowing our water adventuring tenants to get on the river with the least amount of legwork possible. Grab your kayak or your paddleboard, walk out your front door, and hit the river without a second thought!
It’s Surrounded By Bars and Restaurants
When it comes to proximity to bars and restaurants, River’s Edge is ideally located. Within a half a mile, you can find over 50 eateries and drinking establishments, allowing you to enjoy Grand Rapids nightlife with few restrictions.
Some of the restaurants in our vicinity include Choo Choo Grill, Grand Rapids Garage Bar & Grill, Linear Restaurant, and BrickYard Tavern. There are a variety of chain restaurants located nearby as well.
It’s Close to the Downtown Area
Though our complex isn’t in the downtown area, it’s not too far away from it either. A 1.5-mile drive or walk will bring you downtown, where you’ll be privy to everything from Founders Brewing Co. to Rosa Parks Circle to Heartside Park to various hospitals and more.
It Offers Ample Storage Space
One of the big challenges that you’ll run into with urban apartments is that they don’t provide a lot of storage space. Sure, they provide enough room for you to live in and store your necessities, but if you have any large possessions, they come up far short.
At River’s Edge, however, this isn’t so. Even our smallest apartments are more than big enough to store everything from kayaks to canoes to bikes and other bulky possessions.
Our 1-bedroom options include the Shiawasee, the Manistee, the Platte, and the Huron. These measure in at 831 square feet, 818 square feet, 876 square feet, and 816 square feet, respectively.
Our 2-bedroom options include the Pere Marquette, the Thornapple, the Au Sable, and the Escanaba. These measure in at 1,223 square feet, 1,112 square feet, 1,333 square feet, and 1,103 square feet, respectively.
It’s Pet-Friendly
Another one of the big issues common of urban apartments is that they don’t allow their tenants to have pets. If you’re an animal lover, this can be a bit of a gut-punch. That said, if you look hard enough, you can find a pet-friendly apartment.
In fact, our complex, River’s Edge, is as pet-friendly as they come. Whether you have dogs or cats, they will be welcome inside of and around our premises.
It’s as Walkable as Luxury Apartments Come
While Grand Rapids’ public transit system isn’t bad, it’s not on the level of big-city transit systems either. As such, in order to get around Grand Rapids on your terms, you’re usually required to either walk or drive your car. This is why it’s a good idea to choose an apartment with a high walkability score.
River’s Edge is located in a central area of the city and is therefore about as walkable as luxury apartments come. Whether you’re going to a restaurant, a park, or otherwise, you should be able to reach it on your legs within a reasonable amount of time.
